for all ihg teams that use the west coast field (next to macs) for trainings, now we'll have to find some other place to train. the reason being, they have banned all "team ball games" on that main field with effect from today.
actually, its kinda our fault, cos when we were down there on tuesday for our friendly against the safsa ppl, this old malay park ranger came on his bike to tell us that we couldnt play ball games on that field since it was a kite flying area. come on, a field is a field right? i could see some little mat boys kicking a soccer ball around la. furthermore the field is so freakin big, there is no way we can bother the kite flyers in any way. so, enwei and i refused to budge and told the park ranger "i suggest you put a big sign down here so people can see"
these national parks people are damn efficient, this morning, in the middle of our training, they sent three banglas to nail this big sign on the post in front of us. oddly enough, it says: "..please refrain from playing team ball games on this field.." i'm thinking, why TEAM ball games, and why team BALL games, its damn obvious that its aiming us. so if i play with a ball by myself is it still counted? so if i have a team of guys running around playing catching is it still counted? come on la, jus let us use the bloody field. otherwise i gotta get the guys to go down to the src field which has been raped by everyone else.
