i quote the article published in the planet rugby post this morning,
"This began as a contest between back-to-back Triple Crown winners resplendent with marque names against part-timers from France's second division, yet it was impossible to tell which side was which for the whole duration of this titanic contest." ".. made the notion of rugby serfs and nobility at this World Cup look like the arcane old theory of senile club committee members." "It's been on the lips of rugby fans for the past week, and this game served to underline the creeping realisation that there is little between the so-called 'minnows' and the money-soaked practitioners of this game than mere gym membership."
indeed, i couldnt have said it better myself.
worthy of mention too are japan, portugal and namibia and argentina, who of course beat france in the opener and are looking in brilliant form.
its high time the old kings of europe, the likes of england, france and ireland rethink their place in the rugby world, and allow theses rising heroes to take on the dominant southerners.
