my best investment for exchange so far is without a doubt the S$10 computer speakers from popular before i left. canto is the music of the hour. its not that i really like it or anything, it just makes me feel at home. weird.. i know.. it gets quiet here at night when my two kazak housemates are out, and when nothings on at jordan's (our pseudo singapore embassy slash community centre aka singapore huey kuan). back home theres always the comforting sound of cars along the main road, or the occassional cat squeal. here, its so cold, the cats dont even bother to go out, just nua in their cat hole or whatever. no internet and tv some more, although lately ive been tapping on one of the wireless accounts in the block.
i also realised that its not actually possible for a human being to eat boiled food everyday, God didnt make us that way. so yesterday i made myself a ramlee burger for lunch, and for dinner i stir fried chicken with sambal soy sauce. getting better, im getting better haha. went to the flea market to get more goodies this morning. no im not concerned about getting fat, cos i have to cycle to every damn place i go, it takes me 20 mins to cycle to school, welcome to the 60s..
school works getting tough. who ever said angmohs are slack sia.. here all like macam white colour prc. i really need to sit down and start mugging, or at least start doing readings to pass. to think that its only the second week of classes.
btw,
SIX NATIONS IS ON!!! sadly they dont show it here twickenham.. dont worry, daddy's coming daddy's coming..
