BALIK KAMPONG

theres this old guy who's been coming down by the pool every evening,
he does nothing but watch me do my laps after work
really giving me the creeps...
reminds of somebody...

or maybe he's just reminiscing his former glory haha

last day tomorrow!
and what better place to end off than my favourite two storey kampong office at tiong bahru.
at senoko, everything goes on at a faster pace, everybody's running again before their feet cools.
but tiong bahru's
where work starts half an hour later,
where they provide one huge packet of nasi lemak with two ikans and an ayam drumstick for breakfast
where there is always a spread of old chang kee curry puff, nonya kueh kuehs and goreng pisang
where kopi peng and teh si never runs dry
and where all the pak ciks rokko rokko as they sit and watch the redhill office girls go by
i love going there on course,
aku kampong boy lah..

PON-THE-REPLAY

woke up this morning still having a cold
so decided to tell my sup im calling in sick and play hookie today.
forgot how fun it was not going to work while everyone is,
so glad i did it whoopie-doo!

anyway, im only left with two weeks of work.
kinda liked the time there at my woodlands out-of-this-orbit-and-galaxy space station.
really learnt a lot visiting places like jurong island and the southern islands.
the most important lesson ive learnt though, is that im still a small tuna in the sea.
also, i know this is gonna sound ridiculous,
but the view of the straits of johor out of my window every morning is something im gonna miss.

glad to be heading back to school, moving back this weekend.
the design teams eager to get together again to work on our robot, plus i have my thesis on solar cells.
life can get a little tight when you have an 8 to 6.

WHERE ARE THE PUMAS?

Tri-nations seasons up again!
but it very well should have been the quad-nations.
after their impressive run last year, argentina should have been allowed entry into the tri-nations.
killing one another for sport or teaching kids to love one another on a lovely sunny saturday afternoon,
hmm thats a tough one..
